What is Faith?

What is Faith?

Faith means complete trust, confidence, or strong belief in someone or something, often without needing proof or physical evidence. It can describe a personal conviction, loyalty to a person or promise, or an organized system of religious beliefs.

What does faith look like?

When someone is unfaithful to their partner, it is evident by how they lusted over another person. Maybe they slept with that person? If I want to show my Faith to my Wife, I may buy her flowers or her favorite snack, or even simply anticipate her needs. Faith is apparent in the response to the claim.

James Chapter 2:19-24 makes this clear;

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.  You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

Show God that you believe in He who made the promise. Obey His commands and seek Him endlessly. Amen!
