Tetelestai. A Greek legal term meaning paid in full. When Christ spoke those words from the cross, He wasn't announcing a defeat. He was declaring a debt settled. The crown of thorns, the suffering, the weight of every sin ever committed against a holy God — He didn't defer it or partially cover it. He settled it completely.

The back carries Michelangelo's hands from the Sistine Chapel: God reaching toward Adam at the moment of creation. God has always been the one reaching. The cross is where that reach became a sacrifice. Front and back together tell the whole story — from the first breath to the finished work.
